Head of Engineering (interoperability, claims automation, AI/ML)
About the role
You will architect and lead the engineering strategy behind Swishvo’s financial and technical rails, the systems that will support reimbursement for doulas, chaplains, herbalists, and other culturally rooted healers. This role is ideal for someone who wants to build from the ground up, create meaningful national impact, and operate with autonomy and clarity in a fast-moving early-stage environment.
You will partner closely with product, AI/ML, and operations to deliver reliable, modern infrastructure that unlocks reimbursement for thousands of providers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead architecture and development of Swishvo’s claims, interoperability, and AI automation systems.
- Build secure, scalable integrations with payers, clearinghouses, EHR systems, and provider tools.
- Design frameworks for credentialing, eligibility verification, and reimbursement workflows.
- Oversee engineering best practices, documentation, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product and operations to translate real provider pain points into technical solutions.
- Mentor engineering talent as we grow the team.
What We’re Looking For :
- 6–10+ years engineering experience with deep expertise in healthcare or financial infrastructure.
- Strong background in interoperability (FHIR, HL7, APIs), claims processing, or RCM systems.
- Experience building AI-enabled automation workflows (NLP, LLMs, or ML pipelines).
- Experience leading early-stage technical teams.
- A builder’s mindset, you create clarity, reduce complexity, and execute relentlessly.
